Morton Bay
Library Friends Association (LFA) are a Friends of Library group based in Moreton Bay supporting 12 libraries and holding regular meetings each month. They provide a great opportunity to help promote and support the Library Service by organising activities, sponsoring special programs and fund raising events.

Toowoomba
Friends of the Toowoomba City Library Association has a membership of about 100 and their 12 member Committee meets monthly.
- Main fund raising activities are six books sales and two raffles yearly.
- We apply for grants and have been successful in this method to raise funds for particular requests from the library.
- Recently purchased a cubby house and big bear for children's area, magazine subscriptions and music DVDs for loan to nursing homes and homebound deliveries
- Allocated $5000 to the library for use for 2012 National Year of Reading activities
- Organised Family History workshop for the Local History Library
